We only work with a few staffing companies, not the entire staffing industry! From David Fogg:  I had been in staffing for 15 years before leaving to start this company.  Originally we were a pure head hunting firm specializing only in the staffing industry. We began building lists of staffing companies around the USA to support the organizations we worked with.  However, I can tell you from experience that most staffing companies do not like using external recruiters and would prefer it if their managers could find their own people to hire. Having said that, we decided to give staffing companies what they wanted!  The Hook!  We have developed the most complete list of staffing companies in existence, including the people working in each office from managers to sales reps and recruiters. However, we are only making this resource available to a few staffing companies to use as a talent acquisition resource, yours could be one of the few!

We have invested the past few years building the most complete list of staffing companies in existence, including branch offices, all the managers, sales people, recruiters and their contact information.  This database is online where we can set you up with access to see it for yourself! The lists are organized by State, City, and staffing companies are sorted by their specialty such as full service, IT, accounting, legal, medical, etc. Nobody else has what we have, we are the only entity in the entire staffing industry to posses such a resource.

Instead of offering normal fee per hire recruiting services to any and all staffing companies, we work with just a few under a shared cost/group concept.  The staffing companies we work with are set  up to access our system online so their managers can view the lists of their competitors and use our database as a resource to recruit their own people to hire.  These companies also use us as their personal Head Hunter for mission critical and sensitive internal job openings.

We do not charge fees per hire, instead we have formed a small group of staffing companies separated by distance and specialty so none in this group compete with each other.  Each staffing company in this group hires us under a part time relationship where we build lists of their competitors so their managers can access our system, to handle their own recruiting and we conduct specific head hunting searches for them.  The relationship is very much the same as our being the part time internal recruiter, external head hunter and talent scout wrapped into one package but only for the few staffing companies in this group. The cost to each staffing company is very low and part time, while we earn a full time income supporting the companies in this group.

To help you understand the shared cost/group concept, assume a recruiter was to produce $200k per year gross revenue. $100k could be derived from 7 staffing companies. $15k per year is all it might cost for a staffing company to have us work for them exclusively. None of the 7 staffing companies in the group compete with each other because they are separated by distance and by specialty.There could be two IT staffing companies, 2 full service, 1 legal staffing company, 1 medical, and 1 that specializes in accounting. All within a region of the USA and separated by distance so no two that might compete against each other are located in the same cities. The other $100k in revenue comes from staffing industry professionals who want to leave the staffing industry for other careers, and we place them for normal fees with companies outside of staffing. Now you understand how we can work for your company exclusively at a very low cost, bringing a tremendous resource to your table, while also ensuring we work with only a few staffing companies which makes what we have to offer very unique and special. To be bold, it is far better to have us working for a staffing company than not. The actual annual cost is negotiated based on how many offices you have, and how many people you plan to hire over the next year. This model is based on our helping your company increase sales far beyond our cost, so we become a source of increased revenue and growth and are not an expense.

This model converts us from being external fee per hire recruiters to becoming a strategic partner where we are limited to working with just a few staffing companies. The exclusive nature of this concept makes this very special because nobody else has what we can bring to the table, and we offer ourselves and our resources to just a few staffing companies.

The following paragraphs explain how this concept works and what we would do for your company if yours was one of the few staffing companies we work with.

1 – There are 4 of us, each is an ex staffing industry professional covering a large section of the USA.  We build lists of staffing companies in each city, and spend our time cold calling to find the names of every branch manager, sales rep, recruiters, etc.  All are documented per each office in this database. Rather then come to you and claim we can recruit people in the staffing industry, we build the lists first and then SHOW you this resource online.  We give you the chance to be the only staffing company of your type in the cities your company has offices that we work with. We become your secret weapon working exclusively for your company, part time, all year, while actually working against your competition. This applies to Owners of local & regional staffing companies, and regional VPs of larger firms just for the offices in their region.

2 – Rather than pay fee per hire, you essentially hire us just like a low cost part time employee.  We negotiate an annual compensation that is paid monthly so there is no large up front cost. In fact, the relationship is month to month so there is no risk to you, and it’s on us to earn our place with your company the same as if we were one of your valued employees. It is important that you think of us no different then a sales person who wants to work for your company and bring their book of business with them. It’s the same concept.

3 – You will likely inherit a list of your competitors, although we may have to complete lists in certain cities. People do move from company to company, and come in and out of staffing. Part of what you are paying us to do is create the lists, and also to maintain the lists over time so your managers will always be able to see who is working for each of their competitors. The idea is to build a complete talent pool of your competition to use as a forward thinking growth resource, rather than be reactive, decide to hire and then scramble to figure out where to find experienced staffing professionals. The lists of your competitors that we can provide you with can become a breeding ground of your future hires spanning many years.

4 – We will also send promotional emails, even articles written by your CEO or managers direct to the people working for your competition, but coming from us to keep your company name clean.  This is a unique way to brand your company as a great place to work direct to the people working for your competition. We are the only entity in the staffing industry that does this, and we only do this for the few staffing companies we work with.  One of the benefits of this relationship is we can promote your company as a great place to work while also building relationships with the best people over at your competition. We can condition them to come to us when they decide the time has come to look for a new opportunity and this is how we can help ensure you get first look at talented people coming out of your competition as they come on the market. Some may be able to bring a book of business to your company!

5 – Your managers will be set up to access our system online and see all your competitors and their people working in each office.  This is like an advanced version of Linkedin.  The problem with Linkedin is 50% of the people have never updated their profiles and are no longer with the company they documented as Current Employer. We cold call into each office physically talking to the people to verify  and obtain their contact info to ensure your managers have access to the most complete list of staffing industry contacts in existence.   Your managers can use our lists to handle their own recruiting, while we can be used as your personal Head Hunter for your mission critical and sensitive job openings.  We never charge a fee because all of this work is built into the ongoing relationship.  This is very much like our bringing our resources to your company and working for you part time as one of your valued employees. And remember, if we are on your team that means we are working against your competition!

6 -Rebating you back a portion of what you pay to hire us: We will be promoting your company and networking with all the people over at your competition all year. During the year experienced people from your competition will come to us seeking a new opportunity. We shall bring them to your table first, to ensure you get first look. But you are not going to hire everyone. With your permission, we can proactively market the people you choose NOT to hire, to all your competitors. The theory is they are going to find a job with one of your competitors anyway and another recruiter might actually earn a fee for placing them. If a candidate is hired and we generate a fee, we will rebate 10% of that fee back to you because you paid us to build and maintain the lists these candidates came from in the first place. This process enables us to pay you back up to 50% of what you pay to us which completely eliminates cost from being a reason not to do this. An example is if you paid us $15k per year, we might end up rebating back $5k of that through this plan.

7Staffing University: There may be times you cannot hire people from your competition for varied reasons such as your budget limits.  As a Plan B, we can handle all the work the same as if we were your internal HR recruiter and source sales people from other industries outside of staffing who are a good match, and put them through our Staffing University pre-training program.  This process converts these people into having the equivalent of 1 to 2 years staffing experience without a non-compete, and they do not have to be recruited out of a job because they were actively looking. In reality, this training program can provide such a person with more information about the staffing industry than many learn in 5 years.

8 Acquisitions: Although a separate service, being we have the most complete list of staffing companies in existence including the CEOs and Owners, and being we have experience as business brokers, we can help you find other staffing companies to buy and help you with the acquisitions process A to Z.

9 Ongoing training!   Because we talk to people across the staffing industry every day, we get to see and hear what is working and what is not. Our external position enables us to view the staffing industry from a different set of eyes where we can clearly see why some companies and individuals are more successful than others. Every month we take our observations and create a training article that covers specific topics. We send these articles ONLY to the few companies we work with. Sometimes the articles are meant only for top level executives. Other times the articles are for sales people and recruiters to help them learn.  This is a unique way for us to use our time and observations to help the few staffing companies we work with create cultures of ongoing training. Within one year of working with us, we can help people at your company with a year or two of experience boost their overall education of the staffing industry to a 5 to 10 year level. This training information all by itself can help you and the people working for you grow and increase revenue far beyond the cost of working with us!

Feeding you with insider information and never having to pay fees to an external recruiter.  Suppose you did pay a fee to an external staffing industry recruiter.  There would be the normal 90 day guarantee.  What happens if the person you hire quits or is fired after 90 days?  You are out the fee and the person!  With us, we are acting the same as if we were part of your HR. So you would never be out the person or the money.  We work with you all year long replacing anyone who exits your company without charging fees. And, being we would be talking to the people at your competition every day, all year, we can learn of their compensation plans and other important information so we can feed you insider info, showing what is going on over at your competition.

What size company would be a good match?
We have clients that are small, single office locally owned staffing companies that at first thought they were too small for this to make sense. However, they took a test drive and gave this concept a try. They learned even as a small company our pricing is so low it makes too much sense Not to Do.  The only size staffing company we cannot work with is a large national where we work with the entire company.  That is too much. Typically we can work with a regional VP of a larger staffing company just for their region, mid size staffing companies and smaller locally owned firms.
